Training on Humanitarian Crisis Response (CTHCR)

Welcome to the Center for Training on Humanitarian Crisis Response (CTHCR)
Shamlapur, Cox’s Bazar – Where Humanity Meets Horizon

Nestled beside the world’s longest sea beach, where the rhythmic murmur of waves whispers stories of resilience and hope, the Center for Training on Humanitarian Crisis Response (CTHCR) stands as a beacon of compassion, knowledge, and global solidarity. Inaugurated in 2025 under the auspices of the Office of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC), this premier institution is dedicated to enhancing the capacity of those who serve on the frontlines of humanitarian response.

Against the breathtaking backdrop of Shamlapur’s coastal serenity, CTHCR offers a unique confluence of nature’s tranquility and intellectual rigor. Designed as a world-class hub for government officials, humanitarian actors, NGO personnel, and grassroots volunteers, the Center provides cutting-edge, context-sensitive training in areas such as needs assessment, aid distribution, the Sphere standards, and accountability.

More than a training facility, CTHCR is a crucible for innovation, ethical leadership, and cross-sector collaboration. It is here that we cultivate not only skills but also the spirit of humanitarianism — nurturing professionals equipped to respond with empathy, precision, and resilience to the ever-evolving challenges of displacement and crisis.

With a vision to become a globally recognized epicenter for humanitarian education, the CTHCR invites you to join a journey of learning, service, and transformation — where every wave on the shore echoes our unwavering commitment to dignity, preparedness, and human rights.
